I’m married to my best friend and the love of my life Djaliel for 30 years. Together we raised two beautiful kids, Raphy and Farah who are both adults now and of which I can say are my two favorite people in the world. I have lived in several countries across the globe from The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, India to Dubai where the one thing I learned is that home is where my family is. All of these counties have left their mark and for now I truly enjoy living in Dubai, this multi cultural hub, the place I call home.
My personal life
I have been married to my best friend and the love of my life Djaliel for 30 years. Together we raised two beautiful kids, Raphy and Farah who are both adults now and of which I can say are my two favorite people in the world. I have lived in several countries across the globe from India, UK, South of the Netherlands to Dubai where the one thing I learned is that home is where my family is. All of these counties have left their mark and for now I truly enjoy living in Dubai, this multi cultural hub, the place I call home.
Professional & Passion
Yoga crossed my path while I was facing the empty nest syndrome, dealing with feelings of loss of purpose and anxiety due to my kids studying abroad. Yoga made me more aware of the destructive thinking and acting patterns and helped me through this turbulent phase of life. As a (former) international primary teacher, with a master in Pedagogy, my career shift into a fulltime yoga teacher/student went gentle but steady.
First the Kids Yoga certificate in 2017, then a 200 RYT Hatha flow and Swing Yoga certificate beginning of 2019, a CYRYT- Children Yoga Registered Yoga teacher and 300 RYT Hatha Flow certificate in 2020 and Level 1 Himalayan Kriya yoga teaching certificate in 2021 whilst continuing taking yoga classes and seeking inspiration in every moment of life.
In 2018 I decided to make my career shift to fully focus on yoga and my own and others’ well being. The internal need to share the benefits of yoga, to help people turn on the ‘feel good’ mode and to become the best version of themselves, for both children and adults has now become my purpose in life.
My qualities are my ability to genuinely see people and to be open and receptive to their story and needs. In my own inner learning I am daily working on letting go of patterns/situations and feelings of not being good enough that are not serving me . I am a work in progress to become who I truly am. My yoga practice connects the mind, soul and body, making it easier to discover my potential, opening up doorways to the unknown and hidden parts of myself.
In my Hatha yoga classes I strive for genuine interaction with students to integrate movement of the body with breath work so enabling peeling away of the layers we have put on ourselves through life’s experiences. I aim for students to leave the class a little more balanced and open to face the rest of their day or week a little more calm and happy.
In my Himalayan Kriya Yoga classes I intuitively guide the class to balance and open up the energy body, as it is guided by my intention to open up to the source and deliver what is needed, every class is different.

Why Yoga?
Soon after practicing yoga daily I started noticing little changes. After class I would feel different, my working days would flow more easy and less stressed. I really feel that yoga helps me in accepting and loving myself and my body and gently changed my eating habits. I am making healthy food choices and turned vegan which makes my body feel light and strong. As I am now less vulnerable to destructive thinking my general outlook on life improved and I feel empowered! The need to share this with others is so strong after I completed my 200 hour Hatha Flow teacher training with Peewee Sanchez in 2019 I started teaching studio classes and privates right after it. And now it has expanded to teaching Himalayan Kriya Yoga as well.
You know the feeling when something is so good you want to share? Well that is totally why I am doing what I am doing! ♥
